During the debate Friday, while Senator McCain and Senator Obama were debating Afghanistan, Obama said "And the point that I originally made is that we took our eye off Afghanistan, we took our eye off the folks who perpetrated 9/11, they are still sending out videotapes..."

Is this Senator Obama's argument about the dangerous repercussions of going into Iraq and not focusing solely on Afghanistan. "..they are still sending out videotapes.." Yipee. I haven't seen any attacks on our homeland that were predicted to happen again by now, but apparently, we now have to admit failure because Al-Qaeda is sending out video tapes. Let them start a weekly sit-com as long as making video tapes is all they can do.

This argument is so rediculous. Democrats love to bash President Bush and talk about how his strategy for fighting terrorism doesn't work, but they don't site reasons it hasn't worked. It has been seven years now, and we were told after 9/11 that more attacks were inevitable. It's seven years later, and we have not had an attack. We've had the time to go back into our slumber, and Al-Qaeda has been reduced to sending out video tapes periodically to let us know that Osama is still around.

If this is the wrong strategy, I'll take it any day. If Al-Qaeda wants to make video tapes, they are going to have to make a good sit-com. Reality TV is just getting old. How about "Everybody hates Osama", "My Name is Osama", or "The Cave"?
